lcl-nogui software package provides Lazarus Components Library - no GUI backend dependency package, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install lcl-nogui
lcl-nogui is installed in your system.
Make ensure the lcl-nogui package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lcl-nogui *
You will get with lcl-nogui package name, version, architecture and description in a table
